The Historic Village of Bulverde will be hosting their 20th Annual Christmas Lighting on Friday, November 26, 2010. From 5 to 9 p.m. there are free goodies and activities for the kids throughout the Village. This year there will be a short parade with the Pet Partners, some great tractors and fantastic cars leading Santa. At 6:30 PM Santa Claus, who is riding on a fire truck into The Village of Bulverde (2295 Bulverde Road), arrives. Santa will then lead the Village merchants into lighting the Village and the large outdoor Christmas tree. All merchants in the Village will offer free food and activities for the children, ranging from cookie decorating, ornament making to hot chocolate and chili. Each year several thousand attend the festival, which also offers complimentary photos with Santa by Sam Roberts Photography and sending letters to Santa by the Bulverde Post Office. A can of food or a token donation is requested, all of which will be given to the Bulverde Food Pantry. Live entertainment ranging from dance group performances to Christmas caroling take place on center stage located at the Justice of the Peace office all evening. This is a wonderful evening for the family to enjoy and is reminiscent of times long ago when families would stroll throughout the village sharing the best wishes of the season.
